A Saturday Post...

  • Mood:
  • Weather:
  • Kids/Lambs: Still waiting, thank goodness!

I am posting today because we are having family over tomorrow for lunch, so time will be spent otherwise.

On Monday, my milk customer arrived as planned and took 15 gallons of milk...Cha Ching!  Sure hope they keep coming.  For the first time ever my monthly balance sheet is in the black, and all because of the milk goats!

Tuesday was my first Meal on Wheels of the week.  I will be doing Meals every Tuesday and Wednesday until March.  Neighbor in Florida.

Husband went with me and after the route we ran some errands in St. Johns.  One was putting money in the bank, such a nice feeling.

Wednesday was the usual route and then gathering with the Fiber Girls.  Our group is growing there was 10 of us then.

Thursday we took the buck back to his owner.  Well indirectly, we met at the hay auction in Corunna and loaded him into his trailer.  While there we also saw another one of my Fiber Friends and fellow hobby farmer and her husband.  He just retired this past July from GM.  They are getting used to being around each other.  It can be trying at times.

Friday was a stay at home day.  We spent the day doing catch up.  I worked on making greeting cards, one is for Middle Son whose birthday is next Wednesday.  I also did some embroidery work.  Getting a design for Daughter's Christmas blanket.

In the evening Daughter called to ask us over to their house.  They just recently bought three new TVs!  One really big flat screen, and two not so big flat screens.  The smaller ones are going in the bedroom and in the basement family room.  They wanted us to see them as well as celebrate Daughter's new job.  She will be working for the same company, but in a different capacity and different building.  The same building as her husband.  This will save some gas money for sure.

Another good thing will be that Daughter will no longer be working with children, who as any teacher knows are little germ carriers.  She might not be getting sick quite as often as she was.

Today, Friday, was spent making bread, rolls, cinnamon rolls and cleaning house.  Husband plowed the driveway again and we also did some barn work.

He has a pizza in the oven now, dinner will be served shortly.  Nothing special planned for this evening, just relaxing after chores.

Tomorrow I will get up early to do dishes and do a quick once over in the Kitchen, Scullery, and bathrooms.  Then put the chicken in the oven to bake.

Just a note about the weather, we had two days where it was about 30 degrees and now we are back to the deep freeze, sure glad I don't have any lambs or kids due now.

Onward and Upward.
